What is your typical Pace of Work?
Face painting: Artist usually paint at the rate of approximately 15 children per hour, depending on the request.
Balloons: Artist create balloons at the rate of approximately 15-20 creations per hour.
This is considered “fast” or “quick.” We cannot achieve the impossible but we strive to please. If you have booked 1 hour of face painting, and you end up with 25 or more children at your party, or children are coming back for seconds and thirds, expect that your artist will discuss the option of booking extra time with you.
Do you have Overtime Rates?
Any time beyond the time agreed will cost the same rate per hour as the first hour.
After the first hour, overtime is available in 30-minute increments.
Artist is authorized to accept overtime payments directly. Corporations, call us for other arrangements if required.
What are your Setup and Arrival Times?
Artist will set-up once at no charge. Any additional set-up, moving locations etc. must be compensated hourly.
Face Painting: Typically we arrive 30-45 minutes early so Artist will need access to the site at that time.
Balloon Sculptor: Typically your Artist will arrive 15-30 minutes early.
What are your Parking Requirements?
Parking must be provided for the artist near the event location, so that equipment & supplies may be unloaded and reloaded. If arrangements cannot be made for parking close to the location, then the client agrees to provide staff to unload equipment and deliver to the painting location. The Client will reimburse the artist for any parking fees.
How about Shelter, Water Activities & Sporting Events?
Artists can work outdoors under proper weather conditions, but a suitable shelter (i.e., tent, canopy or umbrella) is required. Artists do not work in direct sun, or in rain, etc. since this affects the supplies. If you are planning water activities, such as squirt guns, water shooters, dunk tank, water balloons; or sports, such as basketball, soccer, baseball, or football, you must arrange for the Artist to paint in an area that is safely removed from these activities.
What if there is Inclement Weather?
The Client agrees to provide the Artist with a place to perform that is protected from extreme temperatures, sun, rain and excessive winds. If the event is held outdoors, the Client is responsible for providing an alternate indoor location. In the event of inclement weather. The Client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the Artist has arrived at the event location, even if it is raining. Please list an alternate indoor location on the front of the contract as we do not offer refunds for inclement weather.
What if you encounter Extreme Working Conditions?
Artist has the right to cease Sculpting or Face Painting and leave without refunding any monies, if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme behaviors.
What is your Cancellation/Reschedule/Refunds Policy?
Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least two (2) weeks prior and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, you must cancel at least three (3) weeks prior to the event or you will have to pay the total amount contracted. Balloonimals345 does not offer refunds for inclement weather so please secure an alternate indoor location in advance.
What if Artist becomes sick?
If the Artist were to become sick or have to cancel for any reason, the Client will be refunded in full. Balloonimals345 understand kids get sick and other things come up. If the event is cancelled within 24 hours of start time, payment is due in full. Prior to that, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% for each date postponed or cancelled. Client agrees to pay full amount even if client actually uses the Artist for less time than booked.
Any Modifications?
If you need to change the date or time you require, you must sign and email us a new agreement.
Other requests?
If you need the Artist to come in costume, or specific attire, you must discuss that with us before signing this agreement. There may be a charge for costume(s). If you have any other specific requirements regarding Artist, you must discuss that with us before signing the agreement.
Any Special Event/Individual Appointments available?
Yes, Individual appointments are available. We paint & sculpt whatever you need for your special individual look. Perfect for that special event such as Pirates Week, Batabano, Mardi Gras, Bachelorette Party/Hen Night, Baby Shower or Bridal Shower and the likes. Just fill in the booking form to get your spot.
What about Liability?
Liability Statement: Client agrees that Balloonimals345 and the Artist are not liable for reactions to materials used in painting, such as paint/ink/adhesive or glitter. It is the parent’s responsibility to notify the artist if their child has sensitive skin. For safety reasons, artists will not work on children under two years old. For sanitary reasons, artist will not work on anyone who is or appears to be sick or be suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infections or skin conditions, eczema, or open wounds. Client agrees that Balloonimals345 and Artist are not responsible for damage to clothing, property, or persons.
Will Artist supervise children?
Artist will not supervise children: Their behavior and safety is the Parent’s/Client’s sole responsibility. Artist cannot see or monitor other children while painting or sculpting.
What is Balloon Hazard?
Small children can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. The artist will not give balloon to children under 3 years of age. Artist may give the balloon sculpting to their parents. Sculpting balloon requires adult supervision. Keep uninflated balloons from small children; discard broken balloon at once.
